Membership and Beliefs
Our Beliefs
- We believe that the Scriptures (Old and New Testament) are inspired written Word of God and the revelation of God to man (2Tim. 3:15-17),.
- We believe in one, true tripartite God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost (lsa. 43:10; Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22).
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the beloved son of God, was Conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost and is the way, the truth and the life (Luke 1:34-35; Jn. 14:6).
- We believe that Jesus Christ was approved as God by the miracles, signs and wonders He did and that He passed these gifts to us. Thus, we believe in divine healing (Acts 2:22, Acts 10:38; Jn.14:12).
- We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and after three days he resurrected and ascended into Heaven, being now exalted to the right side of God (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 1 :9; Acts 2:23).
- We believe in the New Birth (being born again) of the believer which is an experience that puts off the old nature and puts on the new nature of Christ (Jn.3:3;2 Cor.5: 17).
- We believe in Water Baptism as a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and the believer in fellowship with Him. (Rm.6:4-5; Col.2:12).
- We believe in Holy Spirit Baptism and bestowment of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as the source of empowerment for lifeand service in evangelism and missions (Acts1:4,8; 1Cor.12:1-31).
- We believe in the second coming of Christ (Acts 1:11;1Thess.4:16-17).
- We believe in the final judgement of all men and eternal destination in Heaven or hell (2 Cor. 5:10, Rev. 20: 11-15;1 Thess.4:17).
OUR ACTIVITIES
With the help of full-time and part-time. Employees as well as the members of LOHEM, we hold fortnightly outreaches/Crusades at unreached and weakly evangelized areas,
towns, and villages as well as churches to show Christian Films, preach the Gospel and win souls for Christ. We also minister at market squares, busy streets, slums, homes, rehabilitation centers, etc. We hold monthly hospital evangelism and organise prison outreaches as well.
We also present gifts, fairly used clothes and property as well as Bible and Christian literature to the less privileged in those places when available. Our target is to reach all the states of this country and the whole world for Christ.
The Employees and members of LOHEM organise weekly Megaphone Evangelism and Personal Evangelism as Spirit leads.
Our Radio messages are gaining much ground in this country though it is very highly capital intensive.
We have Youth Evangelism at the Schools, Colleges and Higher Institutions of learning. We organize monthly prayer fellowships and hold weekly deliverance sessions at our Enugu Office which is the Headquarters.
Moreover, we hold prayers from 9:00am - 12:00noon every Monday and Wednesday. From time to time we hold retreats, LOHEM Prayer Summits, Seminars, Day and Night Vigils as well
